In the hustle and bustle of last-minute trips to the grocery store, drives across state lines, it’s super easy for me to forget to take a moment to stop and physically give thanks.
Here’s a few easy ideas to practice gratitude this week:
Write a note (even post-it note!) for each of your people then hide it somewhere they’ll find it when they least expect it.
Send a Starbucks gift card to a far-away friend, or your favorite person sitting next to you at the dinner table.
Invite someone over for dinner who can’t make it home for Thanksgiving.
Share what you’re thankful for during the big meal. Call your grandmother or mom or that friend you haven’t talked to in awhile and say hey.
Go out of your way to take care of the not so fun stuff: taking out the trash, doing some last-minute cleaning, washing dishes after dinner.
