I love Whole Foods.
When we first started dating I was so surprised that Apple Guy would eat at Whole Foods most nights after work. The bachelor life is still one that amazes me. Why would you want to eat at a grocery store every night?
Now, when Apple Guy and I get together we make it a point to visit a Whole Foods at least once…. a day.
It’s our go-to place when we want a water bottle for the day, an easy lunch or a delicious dessert.
My favorite Whole Foods experience was this past weekend. It was Saturday night. After wandering the aisles of fresh, organic, beautiful food, we settled on a very elegant meal of hummus topped with our favorite Bravado Spice hot sauce, the jalepeno lime chips that were on sample and finished it out with our own Justin’s peanut butter cups [milk chocolate for him, dark for me.]
The food, as simply wonderful as it was, wasn’t even my favorite part. At our favorite location in Austin, the dining area is two stories tall and has the perfect little cove that overlooks the rest of the store. We spent hours talking, people watching, and making up stories for what each of the couples did. I don’t think I’ve laughed that much at a grocery store before.
It’s just one of my favorite things I love about dating Apple Guy. The simplest evening has the power to bring us even closer together. And provide a slew of inside jokes that only could be made observing the type of people who frequent a Whole Foods.
Do you have any simple date night favorites? I've come to realize that the less "date-like" the better for us!
